For the past few days, my car hasn’t been working right. It doesn’t want to start, and if it doesn’t start, it won’t go.
Ignoring the problem didn’t work. My automotive mechanic skills don’t go a lot past that.
So today after getting a friendly jump from roadside assistance, I took the car to the repair shop (where people know what they’re doing).
After a few tests and experiments, they told me I needed a new starter. The battery is fine, but the car won’t start because the starter is melting.
Really. Melting!
All this after getting some not so good financial news earlier in the day. Bummer.
Now, I could wallow in the situation and say poor me. I probably had a few moments like that today. But I’m not staying there.
Because tomorrow I’m getting a new starter. It’ll be shiny and new and will crank the car up on the first try.
Today wasn’t the best day. But I get a new one tomorrow. And the next day. And the next.
The idea that getting a new start is as simple as getting a new starter fascinates me. It’s given me a new perspective that I needed on a rough day.
If you need a new start, get a jump or find a new starter. Hopefully it won’t cost $600 for parts and labor, but even if it does…it’s worth it to keep moving!
How’s this for another start?
Today, in the midst of this mess, I decided to punch The Resistance in the nose and launch my new coaching program.
It’s called the Conquer Your Kryptonite Interactive Coaching Experience (or ICE for short). Get all of the details and read the testimonials at ConquerYourKryptonite.com/ICE.
It may be just what you need to get unstuck and move forward on your dreams and goals.
